For any of you who have heard the words for yourself or a loved one, “you have a terminal illness and only a short time to live”, every day becomes a “gift”.

When we heard those words about Paul when he received the diagnosis of grade 4 Glioblastoma brain cancer, our hearts were broken, but we were ready to do anything to help him beat the odds of this horrible cancer. Unfortunately, the cancer did take him after only 19 months on May 25th, 2021 at the age of 59.

So, for Paul’s birthday month of February, the KARE Foundation is launching a “Happy Birthday Paul” fundraising campaign to honor his legacy of kindness to ensure the foundation can continue to give the “gift” of financial assistance to more families now, and into the future.
